Good Directions Rainy Day Bird Feeder + Shepherd’s Hook Giveaway! Over $110 Value!

This post may contain affiliate links. If you make a purchase through one of my links, I'll make a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thank you for your support!

Like clockwork, my subscription to Birds & Blooms gets renewed. When it arrives, it’s read cover to cover, before the laundry gets done or dinner cooked.

This passion for birds started when I hit middle age and continues with my growing fondness for all things plants and animals.

If you get a case of “bird love,” you might as well treat them right. The fun starts with the right feeder.

So my heart fluttered when Good Directions asked me to feature a bird feeder and hook. A bird watcher can never have too many feeders. Never.

Especially a feeder as elegantly functional as the Rainy Day Feeder and hook.

One very lucky winner will score both of these handcrafted items from Good Directions. ARV $100!

HOW TO ENTER TO WIN!!!

Simply fill out the ViralKit form at the very end of this post! The winner must enter a valid email address.

You get what you pay for

Have you ever made a purchase on Amazon and felt a little underwhelmed after the fact? It arrives on your doorstep. Junk. Pure junk.

Amazon is like that at times. Disappointing. The pictures look awesome, the price is super low, and the ratings are okay. What could go wrong?

The truth? Everything and anything. Pay a low price, get a cheap and flimsy product. If it seems too good to be true, then it probably is.

This advice applies to bird feeders, bird houses, and bird baths.

If you want quality home and garden products, pay a little more. Birding equipment that lasts season after season, not just a few months till it’s broken and useless.

The endless shuffle of buying, throwing out, and buying again. Stop the cycle with Good Directions.

In the end, you’ll likely save money because you’re not constantly replacing subpar products. You’ll also save on time and frustration.

Good Eatin’ around the clock – in every season!

You eat year-round. I eat year-round. And if most of us are being honest, we eat all day! Bird buffet!

Our feathered friends don’t want the feeders filled just in summer, they eagerly anticipate full feeders every day of the year.

It’s necessary to keep feeders full in early spring and late winter when natural seed sources are depleted.

Anyone from 3 to 103 will get joy from feeding birds from these beautiful feeders. Good Directions handcrafts bird feeders that will surely lure in the birds, if not your neighbors too.

Because there’s no doubt your friends and family will be asking where you got such a beautiful bird feeder. The selection with Good Directions is stupendous with over 30 bird feeders to select from.

Handcrafted garden decor from the fly-thru variety to more traditionally molded, with mesh or plexiglass tubes, colored or copper, the choice is yours.

So many shapes and sizes with circular, moon, tear drop, star, heart, lighthouse, rocketship, balloon or pagoda, let your fancy take flight with Good Directions!

Points to ponder: bird feeder style

Perhaps one of the most important aspects of any feeder is usage. The rainy day umbrella feeder is easy to hang, fill, and clean.

It takes less than a minute to assemble. The umbrella is not only a cute design, but also provides shade from the sun and shelter from rain for our feathered friends!

The plexiglass is super thick and transparent, making the seed visible so you know when to refill. It’s equally durable, so no worries about it cracking over time, even in the elements.

The bottom tray is the ideal landing spot for birds to perch and snack. There are three holes in the bottom of the tube allowing for food to gradually shift down. The 10 holes in the tray allow for water to drain, keeping the seed drier.

At 3.5 pounds, it holds a good amount of seed. Not too much seed and not too little. When it’s empty, switch up the seed to attract different types of birds!

A hook with a look!

Shepherd’s hooks are both decorative and functional. This is especially true of the Good Directions hook that serves to prop up the rainy day umbrella, completing the look.

Wouldn’t you agree that garden decor should look just as nice as it functions? That’s the goal.

We want yards and outdoor spaces that become our personal oasis, a staycation of sorts.

This steel-designed hook is strong, durable, and can be used for multiple purposes. When not in use for your bird feeder, try attaching a plant or hummingbird feeder to the hook.

With Good DIrections, style marries function for the ultimate garden glamour.

Check out the specific hook you can win right here! This hook is not staked in the ground, but one that will attach to a porch with a screw, so more like a half hook.

Did you know? According to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, around 96 million people in the U.S. closely observed, fed, or photographed birds; visited public parks to view birds; or maintained plantings and natural areas around the home for the benefit of birds in 2022. That’s more than 35% of the nation’s population aged 16 and over.

Gifts for the gardener

How many bird feeders do you own, or how many bird feeders would you like to own?

I figure as long as I am refilling feeders, I might as well have them all around my yard. This allows birds to snack at their convenience.

But I always have one outside my kitchen window so that when I’m washing up dishes, I can simultaneously watch for birds. It’s the simple things in life!

So if you are seeking the perfect gift for the gardener, look no further than a bird feeder. It’s worth repeating that the selection at Good Directions is so fantastic that you will see the right product for a friend or relative.

Paying a bit more for quality is worth the wait. There’s no sense in buying a flimsy and cheaply made product that will break within a year and not be able to withstand rain and snow.

Give the gift of bird watching for a lifetime of thrills and chills!

What’s your favorite bird?!

I love feeding the birds, bunnies and ground squirrels in my suburban Phoenix yard. I fill my feeder and water dishes daily for my friends. I wish I got more colorful birds because I usually just get quail, doves and pigeons. But, I have seen a cardinal and even a Lovebird this year.

Sorry that happened! I’m not sure why. I try to eliminate spammers and it’s so hard! It’s also possible to get flagged when a wrong email addess is typed in- because I always need a real address to content winers or else I don’t have a good way! Again, so sorry!

Cardinals have always been my favorites! A few years ago I enjoyed seeing Buntings…. They were the prettiest silky blue color! They were attracted to some seedy weeds that we got after serious flooding rains! Haven’t seen them since that year.
