The Secret Of Rain Chains…

Ready for our secret? Of course you are!

Rain chains aren’t just beautiful on rainy days. Yes…watching the rain trickle through a copper rain chain mimics a mini waterfall. Such soothing, rhythmic sound!

But chains are just as beautiful in the bright sunshine. The sun gleaming down on a beautiful rain chain is a sight to behold. Gleaming. Gold. Gorgeous. That copper really sparkles in the light!

Essentially, rain chains are jewelry for your house. An adornment that adds the element of distinction.

Meant to replace traditional gutter downspouts, a rain chain is beautiful, whereas most downspouts are decidedly unattractive!

But either will work. In fact, we decided to use both at our cottage, which gets lots and lots of rain, and we love the effect of the pineapples against the lime green.

So if you are hesitant to replace a gutter downspout, another option is to use both. Function and aesthetic appeal side by side!

More About Good Directions…

Can you buy cheap outdoor decor and garden accents from big box stores and places like Amazon? Of course.

You get what you pay for, too! In a year, you’ll be tossing those purchases to the curb. Right in the garbage can. Poorly made, they will crack, fade, and break.

Buying from Good Directions is better and different. Their premium, quality copper and brass home and garden products are built to last. The copper will patina over time, and this only increases its old-world charm.

Handcrafted to last a lifetime and maybe even longer. This is high-end garden decor at its finest.

A family-owned business since 1982, right in Danbury, Connecticut. American-made products by a family like yours and mine. Just the type of company I want to support!

Did you know? Pineapples represent hospitality. So there’s no better way to welcome visitors to your dwelling than a pineapple rain chain to greet them.

A Little More About The Pineapple Rain Chain…

Nothing could be easier to install than your new copper pineapple rain chain. You simply insert the supplied gutter installation clip into your gutter.

The clip is flexible and can be bent to fit into any gutter. The rain chain attaches right onto the clip. And just like that: you have a new outdoor focal point.

The pineapple rain chain is an 8.5-foot rain chain with four individual 7″ pineapple adornments, simmering with style.

This height is ideal for a single-story home- but don’t hesitate to use a second rain chain to achieve whatever length you desire.

Be ready for those passing by to stop and stare, taking in the view!

Other rain chain styles from Good Directions that might catch your eye are the fish rain chain, fluted flower, crocus, tulip, or umbrella rain chains.

Such stellar choices! Good Directions also has copper, verde, and black to match the exterior of your home and personal preference. The biggest challenge will be choosing a rain chain, as they are all so beautiful!

A Basin To Boast About….

The basin at the bottom of this rain chain is the icing on the cake.

At 16.5 inches in diameter and 4″ deep, you’ll find this basin to be the ideal spot to collect the water trickling through your rain chain.

It’s truly the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Made out of 20-gauge pure copper that develops into a lovely patina over the years.

The basin not only collects the water flowing through the rain chain, but it also anchors the rain chain, preventing it from blowing in heavy winds.

There’s a large brass connector inside the basin that easily connects the rain chain in place.

Rainwater is the best water source for plants, so you can use it to water your pots. An even better option might be to let the local birds take a bath in it!

The dotted design at the bottom is marvelous and well-thought-out. Every angle you look at it is stunning. I love the hand-hammered, textured look. It makes the piece seem as if it were created just for you!

More Good News About Good Directions!

No…your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you. That’s a Good Directions bird feeder next to the pineapple rain chain in the picture below.

And what a plethora of birds that Good Directions Rainy Day Umbrella bird feeder draws to my house. Thrilling! As I write this post, I simultaneously watch that bird feeder.

This morning, I spotted some adorable yellow finches feasting. I wanted to snap a photo for you, but didn’t want to scare them.

But I digress. The point remains: Good Directions boasts so many beautiful garden accents to make your yard even more stunning.

Bird feeders, bird baths, finials, bird houses, weathervanes, boot trays, fire pits, and so much more. Many selections to suit your individual style and space. Be sure to explore for yourself on their website!

I’m crossing my green fingers for you to win this pineapple rain and basin!

Have you ever owned a rain chain?
