Can a gardener own too many planters? That was a rhetorical question!

And one we can answer. Of course not. No gardener or homeowner can ever claim to own too many pots.

Especially Good Directions planters boasting such bold and rugged style.

Good Directions products have sleek design adding instant and dramatic flare to spaces.

An empty planter makes me want to fill it to enhance its beauty.

Which might pose a challenge because these steel planters tend to “steal” the show!

And pots aren’t just for plants anymore becoming one of the most versatile indoor/outdoor accessories imaginable.

Today I’m thrilled for your chance of winning this “riveting” metal planter set from Good Directions.  ARV $182!

How to enter to WIN!

Simply fill out the SweepWidget form at the end of the post. Widget may take a few seconds to load!

Use indoors or out….

The agony is real. Should you savor these pots indoors or outside? Go ahead. Waffle back and forth before you decide.

Better still: buy two sets of pots, one for indoor storage and one for outdoor plants.

I plan on using my pots indoors because metal rusts over time if exposed to the elements, that’s just reality.

So if you choose to use outdoors, I would place these planters under a covered patio or porch as to avoid excess rain and wetness.

There’s no drainage hole in the bottom of these steel pots if using indoors.

This is important because the last thing you want is a pot leaking over your gleaming hardwood floors.

If you wanted to use them outside and desired a hole to drain excess water, it would be fairly simple to drill your own. Tom has done this for me on other metal planters to my satisfaction.

On closer inspection….

The rivets with their domed heads might be the best part of these planters~ a small detail that adds up in a big way when you inspect the pots as a whole.

Not only do they line the top and bottom of the pots horizontally, but they also reveal themselves vertically three times up and down the pots.

Good Directions gives joy in the details! I love the look of these little buttons lining these pots and think you will agree!

There’s some serious heft to these pots, too. You will be able to move them around if you wish, but they are solid enough that if left outside your planters will not blow away or tip over.

The instant you pick up either of these pots, you know that they are of the highest caliber. Hand-crafted in India! Rustic and rugged wares that will last the ages if you choose to use them for the long haul.

And. The. Size. These pots are huge, folks! Plenty of room for storage. Ample room for roots to roam free and expand in all their glory.

Four finishes to choose from…..

With four finishes to choose from, these pots come in a style that will suit you and your home.

Select from bronze, silver (riveted zinc), copper and verde (verdigris.)  I went with the verde because its rustic charm and farmhouse style was calling my name.

The copper coloring with the green patina gives the planters an aged feel, as though they have been in the garden for over 100 years!

The two tones are elegantly dotted with rivets to delight and charm.

But you go with whatever tickles your fancy and potting dreams. The zinc/silver pots have a fun, modern vibe while the copper oozes a regal and majestic one.

The bronze colored planters are beautiful in how they can blend in a contemporary or rustic setting.

All of these pots will blend effortlessly in your home or garden. Neutral coloring that stands the test of time  in both style and durability.

I can’t imagine anything that could damage these pots built of such strength, beauty and versatility. Made of steel!

The uses are positively endless…

Is there any room in your home or dwelling not craving a planter? Planters are a fabulous design tool because you can use them to define a space and set the tone.

Pool. Patio. Porch.

Living room. Bathroom. Bedroom.

So many uses…..for every room in your house and every space outdoors, too.

Try these pots in the bathroom to roll up extra bath towels or toilet paper for visitors. Use in the guest room to store extra clean sheets and other linens.

I plan on using mine in the family room to store extra wood and fire starters during the winter months.

Store umbrellas and hats in style on your front porch keeping them at an easy reach for every member of the family.

Grab an umbrella and hat on your way out the door with ease.

And the season calls for outdoor entertaining from brunch to sunset cookouts. Makeshift beverage tub filled with ice and chilled drinks? Yes please.

Get your creative juices flowing by making one or both of these pots into an accent table by topping them with a piece of round glass.

Voila. Accent tables. Place your plates, drinks, candles or lanterns on top.
