Why are so many against the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX?

I can’t remember a Super Bowl where so many people were rooting against one team. Notice I didn’t say for one team.
A friend of a friend made this parody. Enjoy.

It seems like everyone wants New England/ Bill Belichick / Tom Brady to lose Super Bowl XLIX. How about you? This is actually quite amazing since I feel Seattle isn’t that likable either. Richard Sherman talks trash about Michael Crabtree after winning last year’s NFC championship game. Sherman deflected a pass that was intended for Crabtree and essentially ended the game. Sherman, “I’m the best corner in the game,” “When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you going to get.” The game is over and he is still running his mouth. When is Richard Sherman not running his mouth? Then you have Marshawn Lynch. For most of the year has refused to talk to the media and when he does he just sits there like a bum on a log. How is it that most people outside New England are rooting for Seattle?

The New England Patriots have been the most dominating team this past decade. If New England wins this would be Tom Brady’s fourth Super Bowl. Every team, every city has been devastated by Tom Brady and Bill Belichick at one time or another. Then you add in Spygate. In 2007 the Patriots were proven guilty of stealing signals from the NY Jets. How many other teams were a victim of getting their signals stolen?

This year’s AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts has once again placed the ethics of New England in the spotlight. Deflate-gate is born. Apparently New England somehow had 12 balls that were under-deflated from league regulations. It’s know that Tom Brady prefers throwing a ball that has less air in it. They also have fewer fumbles per carry than any other non dome team in the NFL. Everyone in the organization has denied that they have no knowledge on how the balls become under-deflated. The reality is that under-deflated balls did not change the results of the game seeing that New England won 45-7.

In my opinion, Bill Belichick continues to mock the NFL for his lack of respect for the rules.

Let me know what you think. Two great football teams. One winner. Who do you want to win and why? Place your vote and add a comment below. Don’t forget to share with your FB friends. 🙂 Enjoy the Super Bowl.
