It’s painful to send this email out.

Being naive I can’t believe this is happening to me.

So all I can do is apologize!

But first, let me show you a few emails I’ve gotten from readers.

Scammers pretending to be Raise Your Garden…

“Two pages on Facebook are pretending to be you- this is one. I PMed you the links to both. https://www.facebook.com/indahpanglima1 is the newest one They both PMed me on Facebook asking to be my “Friend”- and the first one I accepted as I thought it was you- it was a scam fraud “sweepstakes” win thing. I blocked them both.”

“Is someone from your company sending messages telling them they won a prize, but first need to reg.with a credit card? These messages,I’m sure is a scam.”

“I think someone is trying to hijack your sweepstakes. I just had someone with the name RaiseGarden tell me I won and tried to get me to fill out paperwork with my credit card information. I refused.”

So it’s true.

Scammers are contacting my wonderful readers and asking for credit card information.

This is awful and I feel terrible that it is happening. So I need to be clear. Never will I ask for your credit card information. Never.

And never will I PM you a friend request. It’s not that I don’t love you all~ but that wouldn’t make sense.

Please do not give this personal information out.

I mostly use email addresses to contact winners, it’s the easiest way for me to notify you that you won.

If the contact was an exclusive Facebook contest, I will also contact you via Facebook. So you may receive two communications from me.

And I love my contests and hope you do, too. They are a wonderful way to reward all of you FANTASTIC readers with great products!

So it’s frustrating that it has come to this.

What an email looks like from me~ the real Raise Your Garden

When you get an email from me, I hope it’s obvious.

The manner in which I speak is casual as to a friend as most of you seem like you are!

Lots of grammatical errors/spelling errors and a strange usage of the English language are telltale signs it is not me!

All I ever need from you is a shipping address so the company knows where to ship your prize.

This info is not shared with anyone but my contact from the company who actually ships your prize. That’s it.

I do not share your email with any third parties. Those are private. And the only people who will get a personal email from me are winners.

Once in a while I will need a phone number if the prize is larger to arrange for freight delivery.

Please don’t EVER give out credit card information or your social security number. I would never need that info!

Last thought….

If you ever have any doubts whether it is me or a scam please email me asking for clarification at tomandlaurasproull@gmail.com and I will let you know!

As in life, people take something great (giveaways!!!!) and turn it into something bad. So sad!

THANK YOU my WONDERFUL readers for alerting me of the situation. Without you, I wouldn’t ever know it was happening.

So now I have to ask a final favor, will you keep letting me know when it’s happening?

And will you please report scammers to Facebook so they can stop the scammers, too? And please block these crooks as well.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
