About Pawleys Island Hammocks…

You probably know that Pawleys Island is a place- a stunning seaside town in coastal South Carolina. I had the opportunity to visit the area this past spring, as it’s not too far from Myrtle Beach.

While many days boast beautiful, sunny weather, natives also experience inclement weather, including hurricanes. Hammocks made in a place that understands the harshness of hurricanes are a win for the buyer.

The double-latch weave means that Individual ropes pull against each other to produce a lattice-like design, thus eliminating the need for knots within the rope bed itself.

While DURACORD® is stain-resistant, when a bird poops on your hammock (life happens) is easy to clean. A bucket of mild, soapy water, a little elbow grease, and your hammock is as good as new.

    I love Pawleys, I had a hammock , stand and also a swing chair. I kept it for 5 years after my husband passed but since I had moved, I didn’t have a place to hand either one so after I finally gave it to a friend-I built a house and I now have the perfect place for either one. Sure hope to win one!

    The hammock material really sounds amazing and softer than typical hammocks. DURACORD actually makes me think of Paracord which is as sturdy as you can get. The past week or so has been non-stop brutal heat (Virginia) but I have still been outside making our garden larger, every day for weeks now. It would have been great to sack out in this hammock at the end of each day. (but I bet less work would get done LOL) *Stay cool Miss Laura!
