Plastic pots cost about a third of what a container of comparable size would cost of clay or ceramic. So they’re budget friendly and lighter than other types of pots. Plastic pots come in a variety of colors even imitating those gorgeous (yet heavy) terra cotta pots. Another advantage? These impermeable containers stay moist 2-3 times longer than those made of porous material. Sometimes I can go a couple of days before needing to water my plastic pots again whereas my clay pots really need water every day.
