Grand Prize – #303 Hose Cart
Hose carts are just plain convenient and easy to use. But a Liberty Garden Hose cart is also easy on the eyes and on the wallet. A win-win-win for the homeowner.
The bronze/black #303 contrast blends easily into your yard, garden, porch, or patio. You hardly notice it’s there. The product also comes in a white/black combo and both are equally attractive.
Hose carts are powerhouses. The #303 boasts 200 feet of 5/8 hose that will reach even those blueberry bushes you planted in the way back of your yard.
It’s constructed out of 13 gauge steel for durability and has a powder coat finish for facing the elements like rain, sleet, and snow.
The anodized aluminum fixtures will also increase the product’s weather resistance. It does come with a 5ft leader hose but not a full hose.
But guess what my favorite feature is? Nailed it. It’s those two 8.5-inch never-flat tires always ideal for wherever you want to roll this beauty. They work very well.
The grippy crank handle is also very nice, it feels perfect in the hand when you are coiling and uncoiling your hose.
Some assembly is required but I an attest to the fact that it’s super easy and under 20 minutes.
Let’s talk about hose size
So all three of these fabulous prizes use a 5/8 hose size. The old me had a 3/4 inch hose. I don’t know what I was thinking when I made that decision.
For years I’d fight with that big and bulky hose. It was too much to handle! Too big, too heavy, and too hard to haul around the yard.
While it was a sturdy and diehard hose, it wasn’t what I needed. It also provided way too much water too fast that my more fragile plants did not appreciate.
I believe that 5/8 hose size is considered standard in the USA and it’s no wonder. For the home gardener, it’s the way to go.
It’s lighter in weight as well making it easier to wind up and pull out. The smaller size also makes hauling a long distance that much easier.
I have newly planted raspberry bushes I planted on the sunny, brick side of my house and am very pleased this hose is lightweight enough for me to pull this far.
Let me know in the comments what size hose you prefer! That would be interesting!
Second Prize – #1908 Hose Pot
This past summer I used my first-ever Liberty Garden Hose Pot. I love it!
I’ve come to realize just how attractive hose pots are. My small cottage on the lake and needed a hose to reach my tomato plants because the other hoses didn’t reach this spot.
Every person who walks past my place complements my attractive Liberty Garden hose pot! I know…I don’t “need” the complements to fuel my cottage vanity but it’s nice to get them all the same.
So it is super pretty. Who thought hose storage solutions could be so stunning? The copper finish is attractive, warm, vibrant, and chic in a modern way.
The Liberty Garden hose pot keeps my hose out of sight while giving my small cottage a more rustic feel. In the future, I plan on adding a few copper pots around it and will plant some flowers in those. When I get the chance of course!
But for now, the #1908 is a super attractive hose storage solution. If you’ve never tried a hose pot before, you will love it!
Especially if you have a stone, brick, or concrete patio. I can’t think of a better way to make your patio prettier than with a Liberty Garden Hose Pot.
Other hose pot points to ponder….
The older I get, the more I appreciate 5/8 hoses. They are so much lighter to haul around the yard. Plus, the 100-feet really goes the distance if you have farther plants, bushes and trees.
This hose pot is made of steel so realize that over time if left exposed to the elements it will rust. I will put mine in the shed for the winter.
Another option is to use it under an awning, covered porch, or patio where direct rain, water, and snow won’t hit it.
A little rust won’t hurt the product and does add to its rustic and patina appeal.
The hole in the basin is convenient for drainage purposes as you wouldn’t want water to build up in the pot to encourage rust.
The hole is also helpful if you switch to a different type of hose storage and want to continue to use the pot as a flower or veggie planter.
Hose pots are simple hose storage solutions. Steel design does make this product more durable and more attractive. Try it, you will like it!
The #1908 is currently selling for about $80 on Amazon. That’s a fair price for the product you are getting. And obviously, shipping is free.
Third Prize – Americana Hose Hanger #254
Age and experience have taught me that the simple things in life are best. Manual is your friend. Technology is not.
That’s what I love about the star hose hanger with the black powder coat finish. Simple to install with a clean and easy design that looks effortless. It has a key-slotted mounting system.
Stars are super trending right now too!
The #254 holds an amazing 125 feet of 5/8 hose. Now that is going the distance!
This hose storage solution is also constructed out of steel for long-lasting and weather-resistant use.
The silver and black contrast is sharp and sleek looking! Priced at under $30 bucks how can you go wrong?
This prize comes with the #114 spigot stand so stake it in your yard for even more versatility. The spigot post can be used solo as well. It all depends on your space and needs.
