Just the word “indigo” sends shivers down my spine. Could there be a more sophisticated and alluring color?
Indigo all the way.
Why didn’t I go with indigo bridesmaid dresses? What was I thinking back then?
But only Desert Steel’s spin on indigo. Truly a company that never ceases to amaze me with their color schemes.
And as the days get shorter and shorter you’ll want all the light you can get.
So I’m ecstatic for today’s winner who will get three Desert Steel solar lights (ARV $171) to light illuminate their yard and garden!

A note on height
So if you read my blog then you most likely are aware of my obsession of Dachshunds.
I love low to the ground, tubular dogs! Short legs. I’m all “in.”
These coneflower solar lights are like Dachshunds. Low to the ground. And that’s exactly how you’d want it.
You want lights illuminating a pathway low to the ground where the light benefits you most. Low to the ground helps you see best at night.
While I totally get that real coneflowers are tall, as in one to three feet, these solar lights are not.
If you want tall, I’d advise you to also buy one of Desert Steel’s coneflower bird feeders which are tall.
If these solar lights were tall, the light wouldn’t be focused where you want it.
Envision this: the Desert Steel Sensation Pink Coneflower Bird Feeder alongside a set of three Indigo Solar Lights as the dynamic duo.
Just gorgeous! They set each other off like fire crackers. A stunning show to behold! Pink and blue beautiful.

A note on brightness
You know how it is with solar lights.
The range on brightness runs the gamut so to speak. Some are tinged with yellow and run all the way to a super white brightness.
The spectrum varies greatly.
Desert Steel lights run on the end of white brightness, one aspect I appreciate the most about these solar lights.
And they really run 10 hours strong if they get that 6 hour charge time. So they function just as well as they look. Beautiful. Effortlessly beautiful.
Mindless decorating. Once you take them out of the box and flip the on switch, your work is done.
Unless you can’t decide where to place them!
Then ask a neighbor, friend or your mom. But oh so portable. Since you literally just stake them into the ground, feel free to “uproot” these plants with zero guilt.

Metal for the ages….
Metal fan? Me too. I’m so over cheap, flimsy, plastic solar lights.
One season and bleh. They’re toast. Then you got to stuff them in your garbage bin. Of course you feel bad too for being wasteful. But broken and cracked solar lights? No thanks.
I want season after season of use. And for solar lights that look just as good on year 3 as they did when purchased.
So no fading either!
That’s Desert Steel for you! I’ve had some of their solar lights for 5 years now and they look the same as the day I pulled them on of the box plus a little garden dirt.
Better still…they function just as well as the day I ripped them out of the box.
Desert Steel also hand creates metal daisy and poppy solar lights, although confession time: their coneflower solar lights are my personal favorite.
Don’t miss their coneflower bird feeders either! Bird magnets I tell you. You’ll be buying bird seed like it’s your job…because it is.
I could not find the secret word?
Desert Steel has such cool stuff.
