Metal Planter

Are you ready to “wow” this year?

Ready to stun your neighbors and friends with invigorating garden decor? Can’t beat the “wow” factor….right?!? That’s how Desert Steel rolls.

So when Desert Steel unveiled the butler planter with the cactus/agave collection, we were totally on board. What a vibrant display for the front porch, back patio or especially poolside!

Best of all, you can’t kill Desert Steel cacti or agaves because these metal beauties require zero water. Plants that please for the long haul. Authentic cacti and agave decor that puts a smile on your face.

You’ll be the talk of the town when all the neighbors get a glimpse of this stunning sharkskin planter burrowed in Desert Steel’s butler planter.

So I hope you win the butler planter + sharkskin agave a whopping $700 prize package from Desert Steel!

How to enter to WIN!!!

Simply fill out the SweepWidget form at the end of this post!

How the metal planter works

Low-maintenance year-round decor!

Life is busy. Is it not? Do you really need any more projects? With three kids and baby number four well on his way we are finding life rather hectic.

Assembling this is a breeze at under 20 minutes. You do need to piece the sharkskin fin bits together but it won’t take you long.

And once it’s done…it’s done. For life. It’s not like you ever have to assemble again. For a fabulous display that will last a lifetime.

Succulent, agave and cacti decor displayed in big, bold and beautiful planters all from Desert Steel. Desert Steel never ceases to re-invent themselves in style.

Style to impress. Succulents and cacti that never require any water or fertilizer. Nice! In fact, you’ll find yourself replacing all your “real” plants, like those yucca’s that died with Desert Steel decor.

Yard art sure to satisfy for the ages!

Four finishes sure to please…..

The butler planter comes in four finishes to suit your style and taste. Tom and I both loved the corten steel for its bright and beautiful luster!

Such rustic sheen. Truly, the corten steel stands apart and ages beautifully over time. But the pewter, graphite and copper rock all hold their own. It just depends if you are more of a “brown” or “gray” person on the color wheel.

I love the way Desert Steel products weather over time, even when exposed to the elements. It gives them an individual flare and a naturally aged, rustic look.

This is why we don’t hesitant to use their products outside. Not only do more people get to see them displayed outdoors, but it heightens our enjoyment of our yard and garden space.

I think the browns are rich and the gray tones more real, but you decide what color blends best with your yard and garden style.

4 finishes

Skarkskin agave

The sharkskin agave is a real showstopper. You can display this product solo nestled into your landscape or it can be “planted” into your brand-spanking new butler planter.

Either way… the sharkskin agave is the star of the show. Unlike “real” agaves, you can’t kill your sharkskin agave over time. No water required!

Multiple sharkskin agaves look fantastic burrowed into rocks and crevices surrounding your landscape.

And it’s no surprise that succulents and cacti don’t grow too well outside in Western New York where I live. If you even attempted the venture, they’d have to be bought inside for our cold and harsh winters.

Is it worth all the effort? Likely not. Too much going on!

But Desert Steel’s agaves and cacti can stay out happily all winter long. Over time, they just look more rustic and real in all their authenticity. Just another reason we delight in Desert Steel!

If you have a rock garden…this sharkskin agave is the way to go! You will love how it lights up that space.

A second favorite is that octopus agave…..if not just for the name alone! Such a stellar piece of art!

Desert Steel is addicting!

Once you start collecting Desert Steel yard and garden art, you’re going to find the process addicting! The temptation to keep growing your stupendous collection is real!

Tom and I can never get enough Desert Steel. Bird feeders, solar lights, torches, critters and now these fabulous agave and cacti pot combinations. What will they come up next?

Reinvigorating the yard and garden with decor meant to last. Almost no-maintenance decor that can withstand the elements of wind, rain and snow.

The fun of it all. Collecting.

I can’t tell you how many compliments we gather from people walking their dogs past our house. It’s rather flattering they think we have such great taste with Desert Steel!

You need to type exactly as it, so lowercase a on the apple. Thanks! I’ll throw in an extra extra for you though to make up for your frustrations. I hope you win Kim!

I have known vinegar has a lot of uses from my granny and mom. They used it as a cleaner and to spray in on the bathroom tile to get fir of mold and stains. Also to clean out the coffee pot. I had to pin this for some of these used later. Thank you for sharing!
