What’s your favorite line from Shakespeare?
As an English teacher, there are many I appreciate.
One of my all-time favorites is from Romeo and Juliet when Capulet utters “Be quiet, or—More light, more light!—For shame! I’ll make you quiet.”
Ironic that this ignorant father is the one who requires illumination being in darkness himself.
You know what he needs….right?
Solar lights. Since they didn’t have electricity back then I’m sure he’d find them useful.
So please pardon my silliness today because I’m thrilled for the winner of the Daisy Garden Solar Light Set from Desert Steel.
Yes, that means you win 3 Desert Steel Solar Lights (ARV $175). Use indoors or out!
How to enter to WIN!
Scroll down to the bottom of this post and fill out the Rafflecopter widget. Easy peasy.
You choose the color. Pink, yellow, turquoise or gray. Tell us what color you’d choose in the comments below! Contest ends November 23rd!

Benefits of solar lighting…

  • Least expensive type of outdoor lighting.
  • Simple installation. You don’t need to deal with wiring of any kind.
  • Friendly to the environment because they use the sun’s energy not electricity.
  • Use on stairs and other hazardous zones in your yard by helping to guide walkers at night. Will assist visitors to avoid potential dangers like a large rock or fountain.
  • No upkeep unless you decide to replace the rechargeable battery that are included!
  • Easy to move! Change your mind and haul them around the yard, patio, pool, garden, driveway…experimenting is fun and thrilling.

  • Safe for children – no wires to deal with.
  • They add depth, beauty and create that alluring atmosphere for your yard, garden and landscape.

Flame for thought….

Tom loves solar lights. Are you on board as well?

Maybe you have a huge yard or garden to place these stunning Daisy solar lights.
But even if you have a pot in an apartment, you can just as easily use and enjoy a solar light.
Just like the above picture suggests, stick one in a pot for daily viewing pleasure. The solar lights by Desert Steel are shorter than their torches.
This is preferable, especially when illuminating a pathway because it keeps the light on the ground which is exactly where I’d want it.

I’m guilty of leaving some of my pots outside all winter because they are too heavy to lug in the garage.
By placing a solar light in a pot, it makes them seem a little less sad during the winter months when all my plants have died.
They also naturally illuminate my driveway up to the sidewalk so I can find my way to the door when Tom forgets to turn the outside light on. (Just kidding Tom, you never do that!)
And you know just how bright LED lighting is. Seriously, these are the brightest solar lights I’ve ever had!

Why not try growing some flowers in winter indoors, especially on clearance? You might surprise yourself at what actually will grow!

My hibiscus always makes me marvel. Then stick your solar lights in the pot to light up your life!
