Feeding the birds with bird seed

Easy peasy hobbies like bird feeding!

The older I get the more I appreciate hobbies are that are easy.

Hobbies that don’t cost a lot of money and don’t require me to leave the house. Birding is such a great hobby for a diehard introvert like myself!

It’s exciting to feed the birds because you never know what type of birds you will attract.

With multiple bird feeders you can experiment with different types of bird seed to attract even more variety of birds.

Thrilling…..right?

But guess what else? The Mystic Merlin Bird Feeder doubles as a jelly feeder so go beyond just the bird seed.

Fruit-loving birds like orioles, catbirds and tanagers will be ecstatic since they can’t get enough of the sweet stuff.

You might even attract woodpeckers and house finches with the jelly feeder.

Bird feeding is a great hobby

Beautiful blue hue from Desert Steel

I have no idea how they do it.

Nail it. Color. Every single time. Because it doesn’t matter what shade Desert Steel makes their beautiful products, it’s always the “right” shade. Know what I mean?

Such a vibrant blue. A blue that will never look dated or fade since it’s UV/fade resistant. This bird feeder looks great now until forever.

And it’s even rust-proof. I leave my bird feeders out all winter and the color remains the same year after year. Remember that birds aren’t different from us.

We eat year-round. They eat year-round. So you have to fill your bird feeders year-round. Even more so in winter, when berries and other foods are tougher to find.

But I digress. Desert Steel products will get dirty like anything else left outside but are easy to clean.

The beautiful colors remain unchanged over the years making their products last virtually forever.

Bird feeding

Giving the gift of bird feeding with Desert Steel!

Are you constantly buying gifts? Me too. There’s always a holiday or birthday around the color. And Christmas always comes quicker than I think it will each year!

You know exactly how it is. You don’t want to give a gift that will bomb. Nothing worse than a recipient opening a gift and you just “knowing” it didn’t go over well.

Sure, Desert Steel bird feeders will go over well with gardeners and bird enthusiasts. But in my experience? Everyone loves feeding birds. People from 3 to 103 will love to receive a bird feeder. It’s true!

The experience alone. This is why my go-to gift is a bird feeder for those on my gift list.

Such selection too, in vibrant colors of yellow, red, blue, purple, white, orange and more, Desert Steel has variety. And the flowers are marvelous including magnolia, crab apple, sunflower, coneflower…and dare I say it? Peony! Hint. Hint. Stay tuned for an upcoming giveaway you don’t want to miss!!!

You simply pick the recipients favorite color and/or flower and you are golden.

Feeding the birds with bird seed

My feathered thoughts on bird feeding….

How many bird feeders do you have? How many do you want? I could never stop adding to my collection. The whole family is on board and my daughter Esther, is particular in helpful in re-filling those feeders!

We all enjoy watching and waiting for a variety of birds to swoop down and munch. My favorite are those adorable yellow finches. Be still my heart!!!

It’s also very helpful if you have a fresh water supply for the birds. They will thank you in their own way for being so gracious!

Just be sure to keep that birdbath clean!

So I hope it’s YOU who is one of our Mystic Merlin Bird Feeder winners today.

Please tell me….what is your favorite bird!!!

My Cardinals love my old wood bird feeder. It has been nailed and glued several times. They did not take to the plastic feeder. Male Cardinal is my favorite. I call it my Cardi B

So nice looking and I see you have it in my wife’s favorite color; purple. She loves watching the birds outside our kitchen window while cooking. Birds are a beautiful reminder that Spring is here and goodbye Winter.

When I lived back east I Cardinals were my favorite but I don’t see that fabulous red in the northwest. We do have goldfinches and I have several finch feeders I like to watch them at.
