Baby number four has stolen my heart; but the fact remains, we have three kid bedrooms and four kids.
So two kids get their own room and two kids have to share. Life is complex.
Even more important is storage. We need storage for all the kids’ clothes including socks and underwear.
The final verdict is the two smaller boys will share a room while the girls keep their own rooms. This wasn’t an easy decision.
The boys’ room is much smaller than either of the girls’ rooms and every bit of space must be utilized to the fullest.
So many thanks to Sauder for saving the day with their stupendous chest! Truly, the 4-drawer Sauder chest functions as well as it beautifies the room.
One of my Sauder favorites, the Costa Collection boasts cottage-style coastal vibes in that chalked chestnut finish. My heart flutters staring at those beadboard panels!
I’m so thrilled for the winner who gets this $370 prize!!!

Walk-in closet versus dresser showdown!
Tom and I don’t have a walk-in closet. Neither do I want one. Our room is much too small.
But I especially can’t see the point of walk-in closets for kids. Their clothes are much smaller than ours so it’s a waste of space.
Besides, I highly doubt they would even be able to reach the hanging clothes and it would be a nightmare for all.
My kids in particular would think the space was intended for hide-in-seek and not use it for its fullest potential.
Besides, tiny items like their socks and underwear would get lost in a huge walk-in-closet.
But chests are a necessity. On this point, I must insist. Every kid has their own chest or dresser of their own to keep their clothes organized and ready-to-go.
Having an organized chest makes getting ready in the morning, especially on busy school days a breeze.

Installation with the 4-drawer Sauder Chest
Many of the pieces you will order from Sauder do require assembly. As a homeowner who has put together several of their pieces over the course of several years, assembly is no big deal.
It’s partly why one can own such high-end-looking furniture at a fraction of what it would cost pre-assembled.
Sauder instruction manuals were obviously written for all to understand, regardless of skill level. Easy to follow step-by-step instructions written with a twist of humor.
For example, the instruction manual for the 4-drawer chest has 22 steps carefully written with pictures for each step. Step one tells you that some assembly (and snacks) are required. Funny and true!
The parts and pieces are labelled A-N with easy-to-peel off stickers to avoid any potential confusion. The hardware is also well-marked and only simple tools like a hammer and Phillips screwdriver are required. You can’t go wrong!
Tom and I like to start by laying all the pieces on the floor to make sure we have all the pieces and to get the gist of how the chest will come together.
It makes for a fun Saturday morning!

Save space with the 4-drawer Sauder Chest!
Our house is a decent size but is by no means huge. We have to make the most use of every square inch with six people, two dogs, one cat, 10 frogs, and a praying mantis living here.
You don’t even want to know how many plants I have.
So chests are a big piece to our organizing puzzle. Each kid has their own dresser. Honestly, it was a difficult decision deciding who would get this ultra-chic chest but we finally decided on Timothy.
For a 4-year-old, he takes such pride in keeping his clothes organized in his drawers. I fold the clothes, but he puts away his own garments.
Drawers that are easy to open (slide effortlessly open and closed) help us accomplish this goal!
Socks and underwear in the top drawer, long-sleeve shirts in the second, pants in the third, and a few shorts and t-shirts in the bottom drawer.
Drawers are the perfect depth~ deep enough for serious storage but not too deep so that clothes get lost.
Organization has never been easier than with Sauder!

What’s the difference between a chest and a dresser?
Initially, I was calling this Sauder piece of furniture from the Costa collection a dresser.
How wrong I was. It’s a chest. This is the dresser from the Costa Collection. Both are fantastic!
Dressers and chests are pieces of furniture that are typically used to store clothing and other items in a set of drawers. However, a dresser is usually wide and short, while a chest of drawers is narrow and tall.
Dressers usually have 6 drawers (or more) and are bigger and deeper than chest drawers. Many dressers also come with a matching mirror that is mounted on the back.
The mirror allows a person to “dress” in front of it, hence the reason the piece is called a dresser!
If a room appears too big or empty, a dresser matched with a chest is the perfect way to fill bedroom space and create a matching theme.
But only if you have room for that low-lying and long dresser in a bedroom. Truly a statement piece!
For my space two tall, narrow chests with four drawers each is ideal since I have smaller bedrooms.
Since Sauder offers a humongous selection of both dressers and chests, you won’t have any issue finding the ideal setup for your space and lifestyle.

Oh so stylish Sauder
I could say this a million times and it would never be enough. Sauder boasts serious style. Gorgeous furniture for every room in all the latest trends.
Intricate details that make their pieces look like you paid so much more than you actually did. The handles and knobs Sauder provides are always spot-on stylish! Spot-on style, they function super well, too!
I could rave on all day about the chalked chestnut finish this chest comes in. Light enough to be airy and cottage breeze-y style but not so light that dirty little fingers get it filthy.
The squared legs….swoon! I always appreciate legs on furniture because I can quickly sweep underneath when cleaning. And from an aesthetic perspective, you can’t beat having legs on furniture. Always stylish and pretty!
That beadboard first drawer? Gorgeous. Makes you feel like you are staying at a fancy condo on vacation!
If you were to see this chest in my house, you would never guess the price, not if I didn’t tell you. A purchase from Sauder gives you lots of detail for little price. Just one of the ways Sauder is so magical for those of us on a budget.
So whatever room in your house requires a little updating, check out Sauder first! Their selection is incredible, so they are sure to have exactly the piece you are seeking in the right finish and style.

This is a beautiful piece of furniture! I would love to win it for my granddaughter. She needs a dresser for her son that she had in September. She only had one for her daughter that she had the September before. She didn’t give herself a chance to even have a breather between babies. It’s too bad your cute little baby doesn’t come with the dresser! I’d take the baby and give her the dresser. I really wish I could plant a peach 🍑 tree. It’s not only pretty, but I love those juicy peaches 🍑 Thank you for sharing!!
This is so pretty! Crossing my fingers!
My daughter could use this dresser in her new house!

I have never tried this but it looks and sounds amazing. would love to give it a try. it is beautiful!
Love the dresser!
Always good to have such good looking storage!
The top drawer really gives the dresser a nice style/look.
This is so nice! I could really use some extra drawer space, especially since one of the drawers on my bedroom dresser broke and can’t be repaired, which leaves me really short on space to store my tee shirts and socks and such. This would be so very appreciated!
I would love to win this beautiful chest. Thank you.
I just love this dresser! I have a perfect spot for it.
I would love to win.
Congrats to Jennifer George. I don’t see her comment on here or I’d reply a congrats.
