I don’t like drama. Not with 4 kids, 2 dogs and a cat. Nope. Those tears that come with the highs and the lows of life. No thanks. I don’t even like movies with too much drama.
Unless the drama comes in the form of a stunning planter. Then I am all “in.”
Because greenery in a magnificent copper planter from Good Directions is just the type of drama you need in the New Year! A focal point calling for attention!
Out with the old and in with the new…..Good Directions style every time!
So I am thrilled for the winner of this stunning planter fashioned from durable steel and handcrafted by Good Directions. ARV $170.
Tell me in the comments what your color preference is including copper, verdigris or zinc. A tough call!

Planter positions!
Where will you use your Good Directions planter? The options are endless. Indoors or out, it’s your choice!
Maybe it’s your dining room that needs some extra flare. Or it could be your kitchen that requires some planter bling with some fabulous greenery.
The entranceway to your home is another ideal location for a glamorous planter with a pot.
In fact, I wouldn’t even rule out the bathroom with a fern. No drainage holes mean you never have to worry about water leaking on the floor. Better still, you’ll never be tempted to overwater and kill your plant.
But using this planter outside will work wonders on your curb appeal. How about positioning this Good Directions planter on your front porch with an evergreen? You’ll be the talk of the town.
Can you think of a better way to welcome visitors than with a tall planter filled with lush green plants?
Only if you use two of these planters to flank each side of your porch or patio. Now we are talking serious planting style!
It’s time to find the perfect plant to dangle down the sides for green thumbed flare!

Plant choices are endless!
What plant to use? Ahhhh. That is the question. Filler plant, spiller plant or thriller plant?
I always have topicals on my mind so I’m thinking a Monstera or a ZZ plant would be spot-on to fill this beauty with thrillers.
You can never go wrong with a spiller plant like a pathos. Truly a no-kill plant for an easy planting. Any Maranta or Snake Plant would also be equally appealing and striking to the eye.
If you live in a warmer climate, I can only imagine how beautiful a Mandevilla would look. Or, if you have a particularly green thumb, a Fiddle Leaf Fig will light up any room in this planter.
Don’t hesitate to consider planting some sort of evergreen like a Dwarf English Boxwood or a small Cypress either. And a planter doesn’t get any cuter then with a Thuja Tater Tot evergreen bush nestled in it!
Regardless of personal plant choice preference, definitely get a plant that is at least in a 10 inch pot. Any smaller and it will look insignificant in such a magnificent planter!
Just don’t let this planter completely steal the show~ even though it wants too!
And here’s an insider tip. There’s nothing wrong with faux plants used in this planter. There’s worse things in life than one less plant to water~ catch my drift?

Going to new heights!
This planter is tall and lean folks. That’s where the drama comes in. After all, 31 inches is super deep! Over 2 1/2 feet deep to be precise.
This planter goes to new depths. So much room for roots to grow down and develop properly. In fact, you could plant a tomato in here if you wished it! That’s how deep it is.
But it’s also possible that you don’t want to fill the entire planter with potting soil because it will be heavier to move. Or, you might just not want to spend that much on soil.
While you can always make your own, you only half to fill the top half with potting soil.
There’s several options for filling the bottom half. You could use those biodegradable packing peanuts or cardboard like I did. Actually, I tore up the cardboard the planter was shipped in and layered the bottom. Done!
Others take an unused pot turned upside down and like magic, that space is filled. Then, just dump your potting soil on top and plant as usual.

“Riveting” thoughts….
Good Directions products are marvelous. The only way to usher in the New Year with pizzazz.
You are going to love this planter~ there can be no doubt. And it does come in three dazzling color choices.
I chose the copper version and love it. But you might go for the zinc or the verdigris options.
The copper one in my opinion is quite traditional and matches the style elements in my home. But the copper verdigris planter has a weathered look with a patina that stand the test of time.
The zinc has a silvery finish that is simply stunning in a farmhouse kind of way, a bright spot in your indoor or outdoor decor! I envision two of these standing proud on each side of your front porch! How about you?
Good Directions also sells medium and large planter sets (in two pots) that go hand-in-hand with these planters if you want to scatter them about the house for dramatic effect.
Nothing looks more fabulous and classy then pots grouped about ones house in bigger and smaller sizes.
While you’re at it, you’re also getting the benefits of plants potted indoors and all that clean air they provide!

Finally…..
You know how it is. There are jeans that you buy at a big box store that are just “ok.” Sure, they work in a pinch but they aren’t comfortable or flattering.
Then there are designer jeans that fit like a glove in all the right places. Jeans that even seem to slim you down by 10 pounds.
Good Directions is always the “designer jeans” right down to the buttons on the side and top and bottom rim of these planters~ adorable detail!
Your heart will flutter at the artisan craftsmanship shown here for many years to come as you enjoy this planter from Good Directions! A real “statement” piece that says so much without uttering a word.
Besides, plants will come and go in your life~ it happens! They die, fade and give up on you. But a good planter treated right will last a lifetime.
Good Directions for the win!
I hope YOU win this planter!!!! Good luck all!!!!!

I’m sorry this happened Janet! I use the spam blocker to prevent cheaters but it sometimes also blocks legit entrants like yourself. It’s all fixed! And it won’t happen again. Thanks! Laura
Copper or zinc would be great, although I dont have a green thumb, trying though.
Hi Laura! I’ve been tagged by your anti-spam software. Topic Change ~ Life is full of Surprises! We spent more than two weeks over Christmas & New Years with family, returning home on January 8th to discover that the squirrels had littered our side yard with gnawed on & hollowed out red & green tomatoes! I’d experimentally left a tomato plant growing in a sheltered area, figuring the harsh weather would cause it to die while we were away, and was shocked that it kept growing! Thus, I harvested the 7 remaining tomatoes, composting the remaining green vegetation and squirrel-damaged tomatoes. Gardening always continues to astound me.
Gosh, I was tagged because this giveaway is over. My bad!
